Send Your First Email
Once your account is set up, sending an email with SipherMail works the same as any modern email client — with the addition of optional end-to-end encryption.
Compose a new email
- Click the Compose button (pencil icon) in the top-left of the sidebar, or press
C. - Enter recipients in the To field. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
- Add a Subject line.
- Write your message in the rich-text editor. You can format text, add links, and attach files.
- Click Send or press
⌘ Enter/Ctrl+Enter.
Reply and Reply All
Open a thread and click Reply at the bottom of the thread view. Use Reply All to include all recipients. The original message is automatically quoted with proper attribution.
Forward an email
Click the Forward button (or press F). SipherMail preserves the original email's HTML — images, colours, and formatting are included in the forwarded message exactly as the sender intended.
Attachments
Drag files onto the compose window, or click the paperclip icon. Attachments are scanned for known malware signatures before upload. You can preview PDFs, images, and documents inline without downloading.
Scheduled send
Click the arrow next to Send and choose a scheduled time. Emails are queued on the server and sent at the exact time you specify. See Scheduled Send for details.
