Labels & Rules
SipherMail supports both manual labels and AI-powered automatic labelling to keep your inbox organised without effort.
Labels
Labels are colour-coded tags that can be applied to any thread. A thread can have multiple labels simultaneously.
- Create labels in Settings → Labels or directly from the thread view (⋯ → Label).
- Labels appear in the sidebar for quick filtering.
- Label colours are customisable.
AI-powered labelling
Enable AI Labelling in Settings → Sipher AI. When active, Sipher AI reads incoming emails and suggests labels based on content — invoices get labelled Finance, newsletters get Newsletter, and so on. You can approve or reject each suggestion, and the AI learns from your corrections.
Filter rules
Rules automatically apply actions to incoming email based on conditions you define. Go to Settings → Rules to create a rule:
- Set conditions: From contains, Subject contains, Has attachment, etc.
- Set actions: Apply label, Move to folder, Mark as read, Archive, Delete.
- Rules run on new incoming mail in real time.
Snooze
Snooze a thread to hide it until a future time. Click ⋯ → Snooze in the thread view. Snoozed emails reappear at the top of your inbox at the specified time with a reminder notification on mobile.
Reminders
Set a reminder on any thread via ⋯ → Set Reminder in the per-message menu. Choose from presets (Later today, Tomorrow morning, Next week) or set a custom time. Reminders trigger a push notification on mobile.
